Shirt
The design process for garment was driven by the fabric, as I allowed it to tell me what to make. I had this unreal 1960s printed cotton fabric for a few years and had always wanted to make something from it but never did until the idea for this shirt came along. The silhouette was inspired by the large dagger collars in the 1970s and 1600s mens colonial style clothing, but with a 1960s twist. The top features a peek-a-boo slitted back, sash, green gingham lining, and plenty of sheer ruffling.
